01. Let Aries know that you admire them, they thrive of admiration and followers.
02. Let them know that you love their zest for life and that you find them intriguing, they love compliments more then most other astrology signs of the zodiac.
03. Compliment them physically and mentally, they like conversation about intellectual topics and engage them in a lively discussion, or a friendly debate.
04. They love the challenge and the stimulation of good, intelligent conversation.
05. Ask them for advice, let them know that you look up to them. Remember, Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and the most forward and independent, they love followers.
06. Do not be a push over, do not keep your opinions to yourself because Aries will quickly get bored if you agree with everything they say.
07. Do not attempt to control them however, they do not like taking orders.
08. Aries are very capable people so if you go with their plans, you are sure to have a good time! If they have a suggestion for something to do, go with the flow, they like to be in control of what goes on.

Things You Can Get Away With by Sign January 12, 2009

We all have our quirks … or things we get away with because others love us. And these quirks vary wildly, based on our astrological sign. Where Cancers gets away with withdrawing into their shells and bowing out of social activities, everyone expects Sagittarians to be the life of the party — and forgives them even if they turn up hours late. What can you get away with?

Aries
As the Eternal Youth of the zodiac, you’re allowed to think and dress however you like. When you show up at an elegant event in a bright red cap and faded jeans, you’re considered adorable. If Capricorns tried to get away with that, people would snicker behind their backs! Your jokes may be silly or even crude — sophistication is not your forte. But you always make people laugh … and they love you for it.

Taurus
With your sweet delivery, you can get away with saying just about anything. Your pals know that they’ll get the truth from you, but offered so gently that it slides down like syrup. An Aquarian could never help someone through a break-up the way you can — their “just get over it” approach would seem insensitive. But your “you can do better, and you will,” accompanied by a warm hug, soothes the person’s soul.

Gemini
As a Gemini, it’s your prerogative to change your mind — in fact, it’s practically required of you. Nobody is surprised at your last-minute call, “Hey, let’s go mountain climbing instead of playing miniature golf.” Your friends also know that when something bad happens, you need to hash out the details so you can understand and let it go. They’ll indulge you where they’d draw the line with a Scorpio, who only wants to plot revenge!

Cancer
Cancers are more comfortable with the inner world than the outer one. Like the Crab, you need to periodically crawl inside your shell to process what’s been going on in your life and to feel protected. This usually means staying home. People understand when you cancel if you’ve had a hard day and need to retreat to your private nest. They’d be alarmed, though, if a Gemini pal — who is renewed by social contact — did the same.

Leo
Leos love drama — it’s why so many of you gravitate toward the theater. So no one is too shocked when you turn forty, buy a Corvette and head west. Your love life often resembles a Greek comedy or tragedy — and in your hands, it’s indeed a great story. Yes, you can sometimes be a bit self-centered. But you’re so colorful and entertaining that others don’t mind, where they might grow bored with a Cancer’s sob story.

Virgo
Everyone knows that when visiting a Virgo’s house, neatness is the rule. In fact, cleaning the sink after each use wouldn’t be going too far. People indulge this fussy side of you because you’re a great friend and would do anything for those you care about. You also tend to arrive early to events. If a Sagittarian did that, others would think the world had ended. But they know it’s just your way of keeping things under control.

Libra
Libras like to keep score. Though very giving, you also need reciprocity. If someone isn’t treating you fairly, you’ll fuss and fight — usually behind the person’s back. Your friends let you do this and even help you plot strategies, knowing how hard it is for you to confront the issue head on. An Aries would just let it all hang out, but you need to think things over before taking action. Once you do, though, no one is a better diplomat.

Scorpio
You’re deep and enigmatic, Scorpio. Even those who’ve known you for years sometimes have no clue how you really feel. When you get that Mona Lisa smile on your face in response to a question, they know they’ve crossed the line. Where a Leo delights in telling all, you are slow to trust others with your secrets. But you’re also good at keeping theirs. You may be hard to figure out, but you’re loyal to the bone.

Sagittarius
A Sagittarian can’t stay put for long. The grass is always greener somewhere else. Nobody blinks an eye when you embark on a motorcycle trek across the Southwest or suddenly move to China. Distracted by a myriad of possibilities, your intrepid nature often sends you off in several directions at once. When you show up three hours late, your friends just roll their eyes — where they’d be filing a missing persons report on a Virgo. But everyone’s thrilled you’re finally there … the party can finally begin!

Capricorn
You have such an upright image, Capricorn, that you can get away with a lot. When the contents went missing from the cookie jar, they blamed your mischievous little Pisces brother, not you. And those “perks” your company pays for are explained away so cleverly that the taxman never suspects. Your friends look to you for guidance, thinking you’ve got it all together. You strive to measure up to their straight-arrow image of you, but it’s also okay to be like that naughty Pisces and sometimes let down your hair.

Aquarius
Though you’re a friendly person, others find you oddly detached. You tend to get lost in your own little world and tune out the conversation. If a socially-aware Libra did that, they’d be considered arrogant. But your pals usually cut you some slack because they rightly suspect you’re brainstorming your next brilliant move at work, envisioning your future mate or calculating the square root of pi. And they know that when they need help analyzing a problem, you’re the one to call!

Pisces
You’re loaded with charm, Pisces. The genuine compassion and fondness you have for others gives you a special place in their hearts. Your loved ones are inclined to be forgiving when you forget to call for weeks on end or fail to show up for a date. If a Taurus did that, there’d be hell to pay. But your friends know you’re out saving the world — or at least finding your lost car keys — and their turn will come soon enough.

Water Element January 10, 2009

Astrologically, the water element symbolizes emotion. Water runs deep; it seeks its own level and will flow until it has found it. The cycle of water is endless with the snows falling in the mountains and melting. The mountain streams join to make the great rivers that run to the sea. The tides and currents churn the oceans. Similarly, our feelings are flowing as they connect the present with past experiences. Sometimes the waters are so deep that we cannot put words to our feelings.

The water of Cancer is that of the changing tides. Regular rhythms that bring food and nurture the creatures who live there. But this is also about the water of a smoothly surfaced lake. No movement is apparent, yet beneath the surface there is movement, currents and much hidden activity.

The water of Scorpio is fixed and frozen, but it is a mistake to think that ice doesn’t flow. It does flow — and with great power. Think of a glacier, moving so very slowly, yet with enough power to flatten a forest or even a mountain.

The waters of Pisces are about the waters of consciousness itself. We live in a sea of thoughts and feelings and beliefs. These waters connect each of us to one another in ways that go beyond our rational understanding of life.

Earth signs are naturally practical. In this lifetime we are bound to Earth. There is no escaping the reality around us. The Earth is about as real as it gets; it can be felt, weighed and it has substance. Accordingly, the earth signs base their life on what is real, not what is imagined. Sensation is valued over thoughts or feelings. Earth signs live with their feet on the ground. Others seek their advice because of their basic sensibility. For earth signs, seeing is believing.

The earth of Taurus is simple and sensible. It’s about getting back to basics. This is about working the earth in a garden or about having the tools that we need in order to build.

The earth of Virgo is a changeable earth, light to the touch. It’s about practical analysis — using mental tools to discern the best use for what is around us.

The earth of Capricorn is that of foundation and structure. It’s about having a stable base so we don’t build our life on shifting sand. Even the great mountains earth, and if it weren’t for their foundational integrity, we couldn’t climb upon them.

The astrological element of air represents movement. And the most efficient movement between two points is often a thought. Air signs are thinkers. They emphasize the intellect over other functions. With active minds and a good command of language, the air signs are the natural born communicators. They can be light and breezy as the breath of spring, but their words can also carry the power of a gale force wind.

The air of Gemini is always changing direction. First the winds blow one way, then another. It’s a metaphor for how our mind solves a puzzle, first thinking one way and then trying a different approach. This is a restless and searching wind.

The air of Libra is about equilibrium. Even the atmosphere needs to rest, so here, we seek ways to give our thoughts temporary respite from their never-ending movement.

The air of Aquarius can be like the winds after a lightning strike. Large amounts of air are moved around suddenly in such a storm, and that which survives this intensity gets to enjoy the calm after the storm.

Friendship – Taurus/Pisces January 8, 2009

When Taurus and Pisces form a friendship, it’s generally a positive combination. They are two positions apart within the Zodiac, and such signs tend to have karmic ties and empathy for each other. Taurus is more practical, prefers the facts and a clear direction, while Pisces is idealistic and looks for the feeling of a situation. Both signs work toward a harmonious relationship and are basically tolerant and sympathetic people. Taurus can help Pisces fulfill dreams and ambitions — to turn ideas into reality. On the other hand, Pisces offers gentleness, kindness and sympathy which Taurus admires and appreciates. Taurus is interested in material comforts and at times cannot understand the simplistic attitude of Pisces. Their priorities can be very different when it comes to their life’s aspirations. Once they can understand and overcome this difference, theirs will be a very rewarding friendship.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Neptune. When Venus and Neptune meet, a beautiful spiritual connection is made. Both of these celestial bodies vibrate with feminine energy. Together, they represent an idealistic friendship that borders on the divine. Pisces is also ruled by Jupiter. This adds a masculine energy to the combination and represents philosophy, expansion and excesses. The nature of this planetary combination offers a dream-come-true friendship with harp players and white fluffy clouds. The downside is that this can be called an illusion.

Taurus is an Earth Sign, and Pisces is a Water Sign. Generally they’re very compatible, as both Water and Earth are tangible, physical entities. Pisces, as a Water Sign, is born to connect mankind, and when it blends with Taurean Earth there is no stronger natural bond. In turn, Taurus may have a more rational view of life, less prone to the emotional ambiguity of Pisces. Taurus can help Pisces stabilize their sensitivity. But too much of a good thing can turn to mud if both partners aren’t careful. Taurus may tire of Pisces’ instability, and Pisces may in turn feel that Taurus is insensitive to their needs. It will be easy for them to find a way to overcome their differences.

Taurus is a Fixed Sign, and Pisces is a Mutable Sign. Taurus is practical and focused, but Pisces likes to move from project to project as feeling dictates. Pisces will be very supportive of the things that interest their Taurean friend. In turn, Taurus needs to give Pisces the freedom to enjoy other things. Pisces can show Taurus that mutability is sometimes better than a fixed determination to do things one way.

The best aspect of the Taurus-Pisces friendship is that they have different emotional natures that complement and harmonize very well with one another. The overall empathy and commitment these two signs value in friendships is what will keep the ties strong and long-lasting between the Bull and Fish.

Friendship – Taurus/Aquarius January 8, 2009

When Taurus and Aquarius form a friendship, they can move mountains. Taurus has a practical, down-to-earth approach to life. Aquarius has an unconventional, out-of-this-world approach to just about everything! They may appear to have few common interests, but they share a very strong desire to succeed. Once these two combine forces, they can succeed at anything.

Both Taurus and Aquarius can be implacable and opinionated. They like to do things their way with as little fuss as possible. Taurus appreciates routine and is conservative. Aquarius is modern and finds routine dull and boring. Taurus will find Aquarius exciting, yet may feel frustrated trying to penetrate this inventor’s mind. Aquarius will not appreciate the overbearing nature of a Bull, but will find the solid base Taurus provides to be a great support, although they will probably not admit to it.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus. Venus is a warm, feminine energy, and Saturn a cold, masculine energy. Uranus is about all things strange and unusual. Venus is about romance and physicality, both of which are important to Taurus. Saturn is about hard work and discipline to achieve goals, while Uranus symbolizes forward thinking. Taurus will show Aquarius that life is based on emotions and improved by beauty and comfort. Aquarius can teach Taurus to be more aloof, to keep reaching out for what it wants and to move away from something if it is not working.

Taurus is an Earth Sign, and Aquarius is an Air Sign. Aquarius operates through pure intellectual exploration, while Taurus is more practical. Taurus asks, ‘how will this help me achieve my goals in life?’ while Aquarians simply focus on what interests them, practical or not, and usually ask the question ‘what else?’ At times, these friends may have a hard time understanding where the other is coming from. Conflicts can arise in this friendship if Taurus seems too needy or Aquarius seems too cold and aloof. Both partners need to learn that they view the world in different ways.

Taurus and Aquarius are both Fixed Signs. Together they share a strong will and tremendous gumption when striving toward a goal. If they have a plan, they stay with it until they see results. Therefore, if each friend values their relationship, their connection will be rock solid. If they have differing ideas, though, they may find themselves in constant conflict. Taurus won’t change their mind because they see it as a collapse of their control and natural character, and Aquarius may see Taurus as being too inflexible, dull and boring. If they realize that cooperating is more productive than butting heads, they will remain productive. Taurus is more quietly determined than Aquarius, though, and might — to a degree — give in to avoid all-out war when it seems practical to do so.

The best aspect of the Taurus-Aquarius friendship is that when they decide to come together they are an unstoppable pair. Both Signs have very powerful personalities, so neither will dominate the other — no matter how hard they try! Once they can work through their differences, come together and agree on their individuality, the dynamics of this relationship can be wonderful!
